The main print is a luxuriant field of perfectly quilled, raspberry sorbet hued pompom dahlias, elegantly framed against silver grey foliage. Its complement, a modern damask floral print, features elegant, structured bouquets in a delightful, Neo-Impressionistic style with the same romantic pink and grey palette.

Just like all our collections, this one too is produced by hand every step of the way.. from hand drawings, to hand etching wood blocks, to hand printing, and then to hand delivery – well, via your local carrier. 🙂

The feedback from our survey of this print was positive and this is a limited first run production. That means you’ll want to mark your calendars and make sure you don’t miss out! You can sign up here and we will make sure you get first dibs on this collection.

The inspiration for this print comes from visiting garden shows with my father as a young girl in my home city of Pune, India. The most coveted prize was always the one for best dahlias. I vividly remember being mesmerized by the size, variety, and colors of the dahlias on display—some of them the size of dinner plates!

The Dahlia Daydreams collection is our ode to these meticulously quilled, symmetrical blooms buoyantly aloft on slender stems like brilliant balloons. Their heads raised triumphantly, opulent and flaunting in their sundrenched, vibrant glowing. The Dahlia Daydreams collection invites you to lose yourself in the captivating beauty of a field of blushing pink, raspberry sorbet hued pompom dahlias.

From your many calls and emails requesting a pink floral pattern, to your participation in our print feedback survey, to your ongoing enthusiasm and encouragement … you have been here, as always, in partnership with us in creating another spectacular new collection. Thank you so much. Here are a few comments that we received from you..

  • “It’s elegant and cheerful, without being overwhelming. The border would give the fabric a wonderful frame, and bring more definition to tablecloths, or curtains.”
  • “I was wondering when you would come out with a pink pattern. Love it!
  • “Both the main & complimentary prints are very lovely. I am nuts for Flowers of all sorts, styles & sizes. Your patterns are very thoughtfully designed & I like the border (I like most of your borders anyway.) Pink is usually not my choice but these come across as lovely rose hue, not shocking or cheap pink. The 2 prints would be nice for reversible bedspread or duvet cover, and both prints would serve for curtains.”
  • LOVE it! Different for Saffron Marigold – very William Morris-y! (I do love almost all your prints…)”
  • “I can totally envision updating a guest room or bath with this. Lovely.”
  • It’s beautiful! I’d love bedspreads and I’d love it as a shower curtain. I decorate with lots of color so this would be a wonderful addition for me. I already have five of your bedspreads and keep them in rotation between my two houses. All my walls in both houses are white, so my ability to use colors is unlimited.”
  • “Dahlias! I love this print. It is feminine, but understated. I can see having this as the bedding in a guest bedroom or for my older daughter. I could also see using the pattern for accents (pillows and/or runners) in the living room or family room.”
  • Yes! A pink flower! Yay!”
