I’ve been bringing you testimonials from customers for a long time. Today is different…this testimonial is from me.
Finally, after writing about and extolling the beauty of our linens, I bought one of these lovelies for myself – a Memories of Shalimar shower curtain And just like I had hoped, it transformed my plain-jane-white -walled bathroom into a thing of beauty!
This artwork I had on the walls was what spurred me to choose this print. With the same brown, green and gold colors, Memories of Shalimar seemed the perfect choice.
Kitchen/cafe curtains would have worked perfectly for the windows, but since they were not offered in this print, I did the next best thing – I sewed together 3 fabric swatches (being part of Saffron Marigold has its perks ;-), and it helps that the swatches are so generously sized), hemmed them at the top, and slipped a tension rod through them.
Then all that was left to do was add some decor items – a plant in a white vase, a dark brown wood block that mimicked the floral pattern, and an antique brass foot scrubber that belonged to my grandmother. It picked up the same brown/gold hues in the curtains.
And then I added little knick knacks for the bath – some pretty packaged soaps I snagged at World Market, bath lotion, and succulents in a vase – all arranged in a wicker tray. Memories of Shalimar lends itself perfectly to accessories that hint at an Asian, Zen feel – wicker, rattan, sisal, pebbles and water.
As you can see I used a white liner. I think a tan/beige one would work better, but since my walls are white I was reluctant to introduce yet another color. If buying a Saffron Marigold shower curtain is in your future plans, do read up our post on the best shower liners for our prints.
I hope you all enjoyed this sneak peek into my bath. I was so thrilled with the curtains, I had to share.
The greens look so beautiful in your bathroom, I really enjoy the color scheme you went with. Very tranquil! Everything just works together so nicely and I love that fish print too. Saffron Marigold shower curtains really transform a bathroom!
Thank you Sarah. I am just so happy with it. The fish print just felt like it was meant to go with this print. 🙂
